Projects
Here are a few examples of the projects we've had the pleasure of being a part of.
Fly
A rising film director approached us to create an orchestral score to accompany a song that would play a key role in her short film RAUW. The film, even though portraying a heavy and sad topic, asked for light and harmonic music. The song title is ‘Fly’, composed and sung by Stephanie Kos and orchestrated by The Orchestral Layer.
Virtual orchestration plays a pivotal role in the album "Oak House" by Ruben van der Horst, enhancing the emotive power and intricate textures of the music. Utilizing advanced software, The Orchestral Layer has layers strings, woodwinds, and brass to create a lush, immersive soundscape that complements his original compositions. This technique allows for a broad sonic palette, enabling nuanced dynamics and rich harmonies that evoke the serene beauty of nature. Through virtual orchestration, "Oak House" transcends traditional boundaries, inviting listeners into a captivating auditory experience that feels both intimate and expansive.
